Sea Cow

SEA  COW
The
SAG WAGON

This Luxury Liner is TIDE GUIDE’s sag wagon, equipment barge, sun tanning deck, bird watching platform and foul weather refuge.  I hardly ever go kayaking without it.

SEA COW at anchor off Steam Boat Island 2011

This photo shows the Cow with the deck lowered, weather was fine so we did not need the cabin to shelter us…

She motors rain or shine!! Built over a span of  7 years. Beam 6’, length 35’, draft loaded 5 inches. Powered by a reliable, low polluting new 1 cylinder four stroke outboard engine. She is controlled forward by a center board and steered by an aft sweep/rudder-tiller. 7 knots maximum forward speed. This Sea Cow replaces the old Sea Cow.

The old “COW”…..sunk-lost at sea. 2007  or  2008 I forget.

This Cow had lots of miles on her, carried many guests, caught lots of fish!!!!

Kids loved ridding on her bow watching crabs go by in the shallow estuary…

Sitting high and dry on Shell Bar during a winter Blue Norther…

Gone fishin…..or whatever

The “COW PIE“ someone came up with this name. this little craft was a pop-up bathroom and real nice. Was towed behind the Cow, with a nifty hitch, which controlled it in any sea condition. It was sanitary and ecological. It sunk also and is lost.

“SEA COW”

Riding aboard the new “SEA COW”  luxury liner is classy! This putt-putt was designed to keep pace with  kayakers, which is a real slow speed of only 2-3 knots. The captain can control this 35 footer in strong side winds, she can motor in 6 inch’s of water at low tide with you onboard. All kinds of sights and sounds are experienced in these vast shallow tidal pools  (bays). You can observe stingray, crab, red drum and shark under the Cow. Widgeon, Canvasback, Whooping crane, black Necked Stilt, Greater Curlew, and Willets in the skies and on shore.
